Zoom App updates on July 13, 2023

Zoom has recently identified several security vulnerabilities in its client apps, specifically impacting Zoom Rooms and the Zoom Windows app. For detailed information about these vulnerabilities, please visit the Zoom Security Bulletin at https://explore.zoom.us/en/trust/security/security-bulletin/.

To address these high-severity vulnerabilities, it is crucial for all Zoom users to update their Zoom app to the latest version of 5.15.2.

The next time you log into your Zoom after the scheduled release, you may be prompted to install the updates prior to using the app if the current version is below the min. Please take this into consideration and give yourself enough time to run the update before starting or joining a meeting.

To Update Zoom:

• 1. Sign in to Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click your profile picture then click Check for Updates.

If your device is a managed device, you will not see ‘Check for Updates’. If this is the case, contact your local IT support to update Zoom for you.

• Mac: 5.15.2
• Linux: 5.15.2
• iOS: 5.15.2
• Android: 5.15.2

Note: if you use a Zoom link in a browser, no update is necessary.
