To enhance security, UTS is updating the minimum required Zoom client version for iOS devices to 5.15.7 on September 21st. This step is taken in light of a vulnerability (CVE-2023-39215) recently announced by Zoom.

The Zoom minimum version update on Aug 10th has already ensured the security of all other Zoom products for different systems, making further updates unnecessary.

If you use an iOS device for Zoom meetings, you may be prompted to install the update prior to using the app if the current version is below the minimum required version. Please take this into consideration and give yourself enough time to run the update before starting or joining a meeting.

To Update Zoom:

1. Sign in to Zoom mobile client.

2. Click your profile picture then click Check for Updates.

If there is a newer version, Zoom will download and install it.
