All post-secondary students in Ontario have free access to LinkedIn Learning as part of the Government of Ontario’s Career KickStart strategy. Building on this opportunity, eCampusOntario, a not-for-profit corporation funded by the Government of Ontario, successfully negotiated with LinkedIn Learning to secure the same level of access for faculty and staff as students at publicly funded colleges and universities in Ontario.

Yes, LinkedIn Learning provides access to all of the courses from the Lynda.com library that you know and love.
No, you do not need a LinkedIn profile to use LinkedIn Learning.
If you do have a LinkedIn profile, you are not obligated to connect it to your LinkedIn Learning account.
If you choose to connect your LinkedIn Learning account to your profile, McMaster University will not have access to any private activity from your personal LinkedIn account.
LinkedIn recommends connecting or creating a LinkedIn profile to receive enhanced product features (such as retaining course history even after you’ve left McMaster University) and more personalized content recommendations.
LinkedIn takes your privacy seriously, so only your basic information (e.g., name, job title, skills, photo) will be shared with McMaster University. McMaster University will not have access to any private activity from your personal LinkedIn account.
