Search for information and resources online OR log a service ticket for complex IT issues and requests on MacServiceDesk and UTS professionals will take it from there. .

Cyber security is a shared responsibility, keep yours and others’ data secure.
Simple habits can add a layer of protection to your private data and accounts. Here’s a checklist to stay cyber safe:
- Be wary of suspicious communications asking you to act immediately and avoid clicking hyperlinks in emails that look “phishy”. Complete the McMaster phishing course on Avenue to Learn.
- Secure your accounts through using strong passwords and a password manager to help keep them safe. If available, make sure to activate multifactor authentication.
- Here are a set of guidelines to properly create and maintain passwords for you MacIDs and other accounts.

- Check your social media accounts privacy settings. Make sure you are not over sharing and that you know what data third party applications are accessing and how they are using it.
- Stay cautious and only download files, applications, and plugins from trusted sources.
- Enable automatic updates on your devices for the best protection and the most convenience.
