Person of Interest

An individual who is not in the employ of McMaster and requires access to university systems in order to carry on collaboration with the university.

Role Based Accounts

An account not specifically assigned to a named individual, but rather a role, department or event is considered a role based account.

Service Delivery

The creation of POI and Role-based accounts takes approximately 5 business days upon completion of the form.  Please note, there could be delays in processing this request if the form is not completed correctly, or information is incomplete.

Requests must be submitted by full-time, University employees on behalf of the Person of Interest (POI).

  • Got to the POI Request Form on the McMaster Service Desk and log in with your MacID and password.
  • Complete the POI Request Form.
    • NOTE: The requester [employee] must complete the POI Request form.
  • Fill in the details on the form and submit.

Note: Both birth date and external email account are required fields. Failure to provide this information will delay processing the request.

Requests must be submitted by a full-time, McMaster employee who will act as sponsor/owner of the account.
