Check out the cards below to learn more about the three main McMaster networks on campus and when to use them. Mac-WiFi is the primary network to use on campus.
Looking for a Wired Connection in Residence?
Netreg is a service availible to Students living in Residence. To access the wired network, you will need to fill a registration step before the network jack can become available for use.
Eduroam
All faculty, staff, and students of McMaster University can use the eduroam network at all educational institutes that support eduroam. A complete list of Canadian member institutions can be found here. Worldwide institutions can be found here.
Campus-wide wireless enhancement
In response to feedback from the McMaster community, UTS is also launching a multi-year, campus-wide wireless enhancement project. Connected to the McMaster IT Strategic Plan for 2019-2021, this initiative will redefine, revitalize and modernize the University’s wireless environments. Stay up to date on which buildings are completed, in progress and in planning stages.

Mac-Wifi To learn how to connect
The Mac-WiFi system uses the Wi-Fi Protected Access method to encrypt your data. This network is available for members of the McMaster community across campus through your credentials.

Reznet-WiFi To learn how to connect
Students can access Wi-Fi in their residence building through “Reznet-WiFi”. You can access this network with your McMaster credentials.
The process to connect to this network is the same as it is to connect to Mac-WiFi.

Mac-Events Learn More about Mac-Events
If you are hosting a large event or conference at McMaster University and would like to provide Wi-Fi access to non-McMaster attendees, you can request to have the Mac-Events Wi-Fi network enabled for the duration of your event.
