SIM CARD UPDATE FOR BELL MOBILITY

Important information regarding a new process for changing SIM cards on your account:
In an effort to combat fraudulent activity and ensure customer privacy and security, we wanted to make you aware of a process update that will take place when a SIM card change is requested.
Effective January 11, 2022, when a SIM card change is requested for your subscribers, Bell will send the following text message directly to the subscriber’s device to approve the change:
Bell msg: We have received a request to transfer your number XXX-XXX-XXXX to a new SIM card. Your approval is required to complete the transfer. To proceed, reply YES. If you did not submit this request, reply NO. If you have any questions, please call 1-800-667-0123. For security purposes, you have 90 minutes to respond or the transfer will be cancelled.
Your subscriber will then have 90 minutes to reply to the text message to approve the SIM card change. If they do not reply within the 90 minute timeframe, the request will time out and the Key Contact will need to submit a new change request. Please note, the subscriber must have their current SIM card active in order to receive this text message.
